Our wonderful staff at both our Frederick and Rockville locations, as well as our sister store in Chevy Chase are happy to assist you with all of your cannabis needs. Medical and Recreational/Adult Use in MD
Adult Use Sales started on July 1st, 2023 in Maryland. Since then, we have made some changes to our stores to better serve both our medical patients and adult use/recreational customers.
We have dedicated entrances and checkout lanes for our medical patients as well as our recreational adult-use customers to better serve you at both of our locations.
For our medical patients, we offer patient counseling with our Clinical Director, Dr. Helen Kerr. Since Medical Cannabis became available in Maryland in 2017, Clinical Director, Helen Kerr, PharmD has assisted medical cannabis patients in understanding how cannabis may help improve their quality of life. Now, Dr. Helen provides these same services to our Adult Use customers who may want to consider using cannabis to help with their chronic medical issues. Loyalty and Discounts
We have a loyalty program available that rewards our patients and customers for every purchase. We run daily specials, and have discounts for veterans, seniors, and have a birthday reward bonus. Please speak to one of our team members for more details about specific discounts and promotions.
Pre-Orders
We encourage pre-orders from our website menus for both Frederick and Rockville. We recommend placing pre-orders to keep the in-store process moving quickly and efficiently! Please note that due to state regulations, we cannot process transactions at or after close. We suggest arriving at least 15 minutes before closing to purchase.

At gLeaf, we accept cash, support a cashless ATM, and have Spendr as a convenient way to purchase cannabis products.

Who is eligible to purchase adult-use cannabis?
Anyone over the age of 21 with a valid government-issued photo ID. Valid IDs include a driver’s license, state ID card, passport/passport card, military ID, tribal card.
Do I have to be a Maryland resident to purchase adult-use cannabis?
No, we welcome anyone 21 years or older with a valid government-issued photo ID!
Where will I be able to purchase adult-use cannabis?
You can make Adult-Use cannabis purchases at any dispensary in Maryland, including at our gLeaf Frederick and Rockville locations, and our sister location in Chevy Chase.
Do I need to pay taxes on adult-use cannabis?
Adult-use sales will include a 9% Maryland state tax.
What can adult-use cannabis customers purchase in Maryland?
Adult consumers may purchase the following:
- Cannabis vaporizing devices of any product weight (e.g., vapes)
- Concentrated cannabis products with a total weight of 1 gram or less
- Infused pre-rolls of any product weight
- Infused non-edible cannabis products
- Home cultivation products
- Usable cannabis products (e.g., flower, pre-rolls)
- Edible cannabis products, capsules, and tinctures containing up to 10mg TGC per serving, or 100mg of THC per package
How much adult-use cannabis can I purchase?
Adults 21 years and older will be able to possess up to 1.5 ounces of cannabis flower, up to 12 grams of concentrated cannabis; or a total amount of cannabis products that does not exceed 750 mg of THC. This is known as the “personal use amount.”
Will gLeaf still be offering home-delivery?
Our delivery program ended on March 21, 2025.
As an adult-use customer, how do I place an order?
You can place your pre-order via our website for Frederick , Rockville, and our sister store, Columbia Care Chevy Chase. We recommend placing pre-orders to avoid a longer wait time at the store. If you don’t place a pre-order, no worries! We will have menu kiosks set-up for adult-use customers to view our entire menu and pick out your products for your order.
