Virginia FAQs

Do I have to be a medical patient to purchase at gLeaf?

Yes, gLeaf is strictly for registered VA medical cannabis patients. You must present a valid certificate of cannabis issued by your doctor & a valid government issued photo ID on every visit and delivery order. (Recreational sales are set to go into effect in VA in 2024.)

How do I get certified?

Schedule an appointment with a registered practitioner for cannabis to receive your certification. Visit www.vanorml.org/doctors for a list of providers.

What will I need on my first visit?

First time patients will need the following documents:

    • Valid written certification for the use of medical cannabis

    • Valid government issued photo ID

    • Proof of residency if your photo ID is not a Virginia ID

    Am I eligible for delivery?

Registered gLeaf patients are eligible for delivery after a consultation has been completed either in store during the first purchase, at another VA dispensary, or done virtually. We deliver to almost the entire state of Virginia.

Who can pick up my deliveries?

Only the patient can pick up their delivery order. The only exception to this is if they have a registered caregiver or agent that is listed on the patient’s account. For all deliveries, a valid government issued photo ID will be required.

How can I apply for a job?

All future job openings will be posted via our website under “Careers”. Please check back frequently as we are growing our team with more locations opening soon!

Who do I contact for a physical medical card?

The VA Board of Pharmacy can issue you a physical medical card if requested. You first must register with the state Board of Pharmacy. They can be reached at 804-365-4456 or callcenter@dhp.virginia.gov.

What forms of payment are accepted?

All in store purchases & delivery orders will be CASH ONLY. (ATM’s on site)
