Do I have to be a medical patient to purchase at gLeaf?

Yes, gLeaf is strictly for registered VA medical cannabis patients. You must present a valid photo ID & your Virginia medical cannabis card on every visit and delivery order. (Recreational sales are set to go into effect in VA in 2024.)

How do I get a medical card?

    1. Get Certified→ Schedule an appointment with a registered practitioner for cannabis to receive your certification.
    2. RegisterRegister as a medical cannabis patient with the Board of Pharmacy & pay the $50 registration fee
    3. Wait → Your medical card/registration number will be issued 30-60 days later, then you can come in to shop!

    What will I need on my first visit?

    First time patients will need a valid government issued photo ID, valid certificate from your doctor, and a valid VA medical cannabis card (or email from VA BOP). (For all remaining visits and deliveries, a valid photo ID and valid medical card will be required.)

    Am I eligible for delivery?

    Registered gLeaf patients are eligible for delivery after a consultation has been completed either in store during the first purchase, at another VA dispensary, or done virtually. We deliver to almost the entire state of Virginia

    Who would I contact for a replacement medical cannabis card?

    Please contact the Virginia Board of Pharmacy at or 804-367-4456 to have a new card issued. (Screenshots or printed copies of the MMJ card are also accepted.)

    How can I apply for a job?

    My medical card is still active but my certificate is expired; can I still purchase?

    Your medical card and your certificate both must be valid to make any purchases.You can renew your medical card through the VA Board of Pharmacy, and you can renew your certification through your provider.
